Kenyan Engineer Evans Kibiwott Kangogo Found Dead in USA – Family Appeals for Repatriation Support

The Kenyan diaspora community is mourning the tragic loss of Evans Kibiwott Kangogo, who was found dead in his apartment in Northgate, Seattle, on June 27, 2025. The King County Medical Examiner determined his death occurred on June 24, 2025, after colleagues alerted authorities when he failed to report to work for three consecutive days.

Evans, son of the late Michael Kandagor and Mary from Kipkalwa Village, Kapkoi-Chebior Sub-location, Elgeyo Marakwet County, Kenya, was a well-known and respected member of the Kenyan-American community in Washington State.

A bright scholar and accomplished professional, he graduated from St. Patrick’s High School – Iten in 2012 and from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) in 2016. He was loved for his humility, kindness, and commitment to helping others.
