Key Responsibilities for this Kalapata NGO Job
In this role, your work will be hands-on and community-driven:

Community Mobilization:Â Liaise with local administration and leaders to mobilize residents for project activities.

Health and Hygiene Training: Facilitate community meetings and train on CLTS, handwashing, nutrition, and household water treatment.

Support Community Health Promoters (CHPs):Â Strengthen referral systems and hold monthly meetings with CHPs.

Maternal and Child Health: Support the roll-out of Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (MNCH) activities.

Monitoring and Reporting:Â Use digital tools (like mWater) to collect data and monitor project progress on time and on budget.
Qualifications and Experience We Require
To be successful in this public health job in Kenya, you will need:

A Diploma in Public Health, Environmental Health, or Community Health.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in implementing Community Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) and other behavior change methodologies.

Excellent community mobilization and engagement skills.

Basic computer literacy.

Must be a current local resident of Kalapata Ward, Turkana County.
Preference will be given to candidates with:

Prior experience working with partners at the community level.
