Study in Canada: UdeM Exemption Scholarship Program 2026–2027

The Université de Montréal (UdeM) Exemption Scholarship Program offers international students a chance to pursue world-class education in Canada while paying significantly reduced tuition fees. Introduced in Fall 2020, this initiative continues to empower exceptional students from across the world to study at one of the top francophone research universities globally.

With the renewal of the program for Winter 2026, Summer 2026, Autumn 2026, and Winter 2027, UdeM reaffirms its commitment to supporting international talent and promoting global academic excellence.


🌍 Who Can Apply?

The UdeM Exemption Scholarship is open to international students, excluding:

  • French nationals

  • Students from French-speaking Belgium

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Receive an offer of admission to a UdeM program.

  • Hold valid study authorizations (CAQ and study permit).

  • Remain enrolled full-time throughout their studies.

  • Not already receive another tuition fee exemption.

  • Not be enrolled in short programs such as certificates or minors.

⚠️ Non-compliance with these rules may result in the withdrawal of the scholarship.

After submission, follow your application on the Centre étudiant portal. There’s no need to apply separately for the scholarship — all eligible candidates are automatically considered.

Step 3: Receive Your Award Notice
