President Ruto Reshuffles Cabinet

President William Ruto has announced a Cabinet reshuffle that includes new nominations and reassignments within key government ministries. The changes, made by Article 152 of the Constitution, aim to boost governance and align leadership with the country’s socio-economic transformation agenda.

New Cabinet Nominations

President Ruto has nominated two individuals to join his Cabinet, pending parliamentary approval:

  1. Ms. Hanna Wendot Cheptumo – Ministry of Gender, Culture, The Arts & Heritage.
  2. Hon. Geoffrey K. Kiringa Ruku – Ministry of Public Service, Human Capital Development & Special Programmes.

These nominees are expected to bring extensive knowledge and experience to their respective dockets, contributing to policy-making and national development.

Cabinet Portfolio Reassignments

In addition to the new appointments, President Ruto has also reshuffled existing Cabinet members to optimize efficiency within his government:

  1. Hon. Aden Bare Duale, E.G.H. – Reassigned to the Ministry of Health.
  2. Dr. Deborah Mlonga Barasa – Reassigned to the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change & Forestry.
