Job Description
The Pharmaceutical Technologist will be responsible for the safe and accurate dispensing of medicines, patient counseling, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and treatment guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medicines
Counsel patients on dosage, side effects, interactions, and storage
Promote rational drug use in line with clinical guidelines
Receive, verify, and record pharmaceutical supplies
Monitor stock levels to prevent expiries, overstocking, and stock-outs
Maintain accurate inventory and dispensing records
Ensure compliance with Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) regulations
Participate in pharmacovigilance and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution
Valid Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) practicing license
At least 1–2 years’ experience in a hospital or pharmacy setting
