Moi University Offers Transport Support to Staff Amid Salary Delays
Moi University has announced measures to support its staff following delays in salary payments for February 2025. In an internal memo dated March 16, 2025, Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kiplagat Kotut acknowledged the institution’s financial challenges and assured employees that efforts were underway to resolve the issue.
In response to concerns raised by staff who lack funds for transportation, the university has arranged for a bus to ferry affected employees from the College of Health Sciences to the Main Campus. The transport service will be available from Monday, March 17, 2025, at 7:00 a.m., with priority given to staff scheduled to invigilate examinations.
Despite the financial setbacks, staff members have been urged to continue discharging their duties to ensure that scheduled examinations proceed without disruption. Chairs of departments have also been instructed to oversee the smooth administration of exams.
