The GOALS Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree is now accepting applications for its fifth cohort. This globally recognized program welcomes students from all countries, offering both full Erasmus Mundus scholarships and self-funded study options.
The application period is open until February 22, 2026, and all candidates must apply through the official online portal.
Who Can Apply?
The GOALS Master Programme is open to students worldwide. Whether you are applying for a scholarship or as a self-funded student, the application process is the same.
Eligibility Requirements
1. Academic Requirements
Applicants must hold:

A Higher Education undergraduate degree (Bachelor, Licence, 180 ECTS)
or -
A recognized equivalent qualification.
Required Academic Background
Your studies should relate to one of the following fields:

Sport Management: sport sociology, marketing, communication, finance, economics, event management
-
Business/Management: marketing, communication, sociology, economics, finance, event management
-
Sport Studies: physical education, coaching, fitness, wellness, sport science
Final-year students may apply with an official letter confirming their expected graduation.
If selected, the final degree must be submitted by August 30; otherwise, admission will be canceled.
2. English Language Requirement
Since the GOALS programme is taught entirely in English, all non-native speakers must provide proof of B2 English level (CEFR).
Accepted certificates include:

IELTS: 6.0 – 6.5

TOEFL iBT: 88

Cambridge: First or Advanced

Proof of at least 2 years of full-time studies conducted in English

No motivation letter is needed — you will type your motivation directly on the application platform
If any document requires translation, attach both the original and the certified English translation.
Application Process
Step 1: Online Application

Submit before the February 22, 2026 deadline
After submitting, you will receive an automatic confirmation email.
Step 2: Interview for Shortlisted Candidates
Candidates who pass the first screening stage will be invited for a 20-minute online interview.
The interview evaluates:

Your motivation for studying GOALS

Critical thinking ability

Understanding of key sport and social issues
-
Opportunity to ask questions about the programme
Interviews are conducted via video conference.
Step 3: Final Selection
Each application is scored by three partner universities. The final ranking consists of:

50%: Application documents
-
50%: Interview performance
Approximately 50 applicants will be selected.
Two lists are published:

Main List – eligible for Erasmus Mundus scholarship or self-funded study
-
Reserve List – may be offered a place if someone withdraws (or may join as self-funded if spaces allow)
Step 4: Student Agreement
All admitted students must sign the GOALS Student Agreement, outlining student rights and responsibilities.
