The University of Toronto (U of T) is now accepting applications for the 2026–2027 Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, a fully funded opportunity for exceptional Sub-Saharan African students to pursue graduate studies in Canada.
This program aims to empower future African leaders who are passionate about transforming their communities through education, innovation, and leadership in the health sector.

Scholarship Overview
The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at U of T provides comprehensive financial and academic support to students pursuing health-related graduate degrees. Scholars receive world-class education and leadership training to strengthen healthcare systems and improve lives across Africa.
Scholarship Benefits
All selected scholars receive full financial coverage, including:
Round-trip travel to Canada (including passport and visa fees)
Full tuition and academic costs
Housing and accommodation
Food and grocery stipend
Health insurance
Learning materials and personal expenses
In addition, students benefit from mentorship, peer support, and transition assistance programs to help them adapt to life at the University of Toronto.

Africa Health Collaborative
