ELDAMA RAVINE: The Disappearance of 20-Year-Old Dancan Kipkurui Sparks Concern Among Family and Friends

The small community of Eldama Ravine is gripped by worry following the unexplained disappearance of 20-year-old Dancan Kipkurui, who went missing under troubling circumstances.

According to reports, Dancan had been in a relationship with 22-year-old Hildah Jepchirchir for the past two months. Last Saturday, during a visit to Hildah’s home, tensions flared after she expressed her intention to end the relationship. The conversation quickly turned sour, and in a moment of anger, Dancan left her home—taking her phone with him.

In the days that followed, Dancan refused to return the phone and exhibited increasingly aggressive behavior. On Monday, he contacted Hildah through a mutual friend, asking her to retrieve the phone from a specific location. But rather than handing it over, Dancan insisted that she come to his house instead. That evening, the two ended up spending the night together.

The next morning, Hildah again asked for her phone, but Dancan reportedly became violent, forcing her to flee from his home.

Growing worried, Dancan’s brother, Nickolus Rotich, tried multiple times to reach him without success. When he later visited Dancan’s house, he found the door locked and Dancan unresponsive to calls and knocks. Alarmed, Nickolus reported his brother’s disappearance to the authorities.

Matters took a darker turn when the family discovered a disturbing message Dancan had sent to his uncle, which read:
“I take this opportunity time my uncle I will not be anymore in this world again thanks jomba.”

A follow-up message mentioned where the house key had been hidden, accompanied by a photo showing the location beneath a pile of stones. The most chilling discovery came from Dancan’s home—a condolence book inscribed with the words:
“RIP DAN, BYE TILL WE MEET AGAIN.”

The family remains deeply distressed, unsure of Dancan’s whereabouts or wellbeing. An official investigation is underway, and police are urging anyone with relevant information to report to the nearest station.

As the search continues, friends and loved ones hold onto hope, praying for Dancan’s safe return.
