1. Internship – Data Analysis & Reporting Assistant

Job Description:
DCA is seeking an energetic Kenyan National for a one-year internship. The position is Nairobi-based with travel to field locations, reporting to the MEAL Coordinator.
Responsibilities:
Assist with data collection, cleaning, and quality control
Support the development of M&E systems and baseline assessments
Assist in analyzing data to provide evidence for measuring results
Support review and feedback on DCA program/project and partner reports
Assist in compiling data for strategic decision-making and program planning
Support data-driven storytelling and communication efforts
Support planning and implementation of monitoring visits
Update DCA program and projects document (PPD) electronic filing system
Qualifications:
University degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field
Familiarity with digital data gathering software (Kobo ToolBox, Activity Info), data visualization tools (PowerBI), and data analysis software (Stata, SPSS, R)
Ability to translate data into actionable insights
Interest in learning and ability to travel
Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact, and diplomacy
Fluency in English and Kiswahili

2. Finance Intern – Partner Support

Job Description:
This role contributes to DCA Kenya’s country program by ensuring accountability and quality assurance of projects and activities.
Responsibilities:
Manage disbursement of funds to partners
Review and validate spending plans from partners
Ensure financial monitoring and spot check visits are conducted
Verify partners’ financial reports, transactions, and supporting documentation
Quality assurance of project budgets for new proposals
Participate in partner audits and ensure compliance
Prepare asset handover notes at project closure
Qualifications:
Degree in Statistics, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field
Professional accounting qualifications (CPA or ACCA)
Excellent communication and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and automated accounting software
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Self-motivated with minimal supervision required
Fluency in English and Swahili
At least 6 months of professional experience in finance/accounting (preferably with INGOs) is an added advantage

3. Finance and Procurement Assistant

Supporting financial and procurement functions within the Nakuru office by managing day-to-day tasks.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and update cashbook daily
Undertake procurement of project supplies and services
Conduct market surveys and trend analysis
Assist in managing and reconciling bank/cash accounts
Prepare monthly cash forecasts
Maintain inventory of office supplies
Process invoices and expense claims
Oversee Nakuru office fleet management
Support audit processes and follow up on recommendations

4. Finance & Administration Assistant – Turkana Region

Job Description:
Provide financial and administration services support to the Turkana region. Locals are highly encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and update cashbook daily
Check payment requests and ensure proper coding
Timely booking of monthly payments into Maconomy
Ensure DCA financial manual procedures are followed
Prepare monthly cash forecasts
Maintain inventory of office supplies
Work with Procurement and Logistics unit to ensure compliance
Support programme staff with budget interpretation and financial reports
Facilitate logistical arrangements for staff and donor visits
Support BVA Analysis and budget tracking
Track incentive staff leave at Turkana Region level
Qualifications:
Relevant Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field
Minimum accounting qualification – CPA II
Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting/finance (INGO experience preferred)
Experience with ERP systems (QuickBooks, SAGE, etc.)
Excellent computer skills (MS Office, especially Excel)
Knowledge of humanitarian and development context in Kenya
Good interpersonal skills and team player
Self-driven and results-oriented
Excellence in English, oral and written
