County Government of Nyeri Announces Job Vacancies for Registered Nurses – Apply Before 27th October 2025
The County Government of Nyeri, through the County Public Service Board, has announced exciting employment opportunities for qualified and dedicated nursing professionals. This recruitment drive aims to strengthen healthcare delivery in Nyeri County by hiring nurses across various specializations.
Applications are now open for Registered Nurse III positions in different categories, with a total of 47 posts available. Interested and eligible candidates are encouraged to apply before 27th October 2025 at 5:00 pm.
1. Registered Nurse III (Job Group ‘H’) – 43 Posts
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Provide healthcare services such as immunization, PMTCT, antenatal care, and delivery.
Offer health education and counseling.
Refer patients appropriately and facilitate admissions and discharges.
Maintain patient records and ensure a safe, clean clinical environment.
Collect and compile medical data.
Requirements for Appointment:
Be a Kenyan Citizen (attach ID).
Possess KCPE and KCSE Certificates.
Hold a Diploma in any of the following:
Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing
Kenya Registered Nursing
Kenya Registered Midwifery
Kenya Registered Nursing/Midwifery
Kenya Registered Nursing/Mental Health and Psychiatry
Have a Registration Certificate and Valid Practicing License from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Minimum two years of experience working in a busy hospital (attach evidence).
2. Registered Nurse III (Peri-Operative) – Job Group ‘K’ – 2 Posts
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
Provide healthcare services including IMCI, PMTCT, and antenatal care.
Facilitate patient referrals, admissions, and discharge plans.
Maintain accurate health records and ensure a safe clinical environment.
Collect and compile relevant health data.
Requirements for Appointment:
Be a Kenyan Citizen (attach ID).
KCPE and KCSE Certificates.
Higher Diploma in Kenya Registered Perioperative Theatre Nursing.
Diploma in a recognized nursing discipline.
Registration Certificate and Valid Practicing License from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
At least two years of experience in a busy hospital.
3. Registered Nurse III (Renal Nurse) – Job Group ‘K’ – 2 Posts
Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver patient-centered nursing care in renal units.
Provide IMCI, PMTCT, antenatal, and immunization services.
Maintain detailed patient health records and ensure adherence to clinical hygiene standards.
Collect and compile health data for reporting.
Requirements for Appointment:
Be a Kenyan Citizen (attach ID).
KCPE and KCSE Certificates.
Higher Diploma in Kenya Registered Nephrology Nursing.
Diploma in any of the recognized nursing disciplines.
Valid Registration Certificate and Practicing License from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
Minimum two years’ experience in a busy hospital.
Remuneration and Terms of Employment
Remuneration: As per the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) guidelines.
Contract Duration: Three (3) years.
