1. Supply Chain Management Officer I – Kenya-AIST Grade 8

Job Description:
This role is central to ensuring the efficient, transparent, and compliant management of the Institute’s supply chain. The officer will coordinate procurement, inventory, and asset management in strict adherence to the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act, 2015. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing supply chain policies, maintaining stores and assets, conducting market surveys, and supporting management decisions through accurate reporting.
Key Duties:

Procuring goods, services, and works.

Conducting stocktaking and managing inventory.

Preparing, advertising, opening, and evaluating tenders.

Updating lists of prequalified suppliers and maintaining asset inventories.

2. Supply Chain Management Officer II – Kenya-AIST Grade 9

Job Description:
This officer will support the supply chain function by collecting and compiling data to inform policies and procedures. The role involves the hands-on processing of procurement documents, verification of goods, and preparation of procurement plans.

3. Senior Legal Officer II – Kenya-AIST Grade 7

Job Description:
This senior role provides comprehensive legal guidance to the Institute. The officer will safeguard the Institute’s interests by ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements, managing legal risks, and representing the Institute in legal matters. A key additional duty is serving as the Secretariat to the Kenya-AIST Council.
Key Duties:

Developing, implementing, and reviewing legal policies and procedures.

Drafting, vetting, and reviewing contracts, leases, and MoUs.

Representing the Institute in court and other legal fora.

Conducting legal research, audits, and managing the legal registry.

Providing governance guidance to the Council and managing its Secretariat.
4. Senior ICT Officer II – Kenya-AIST Grade 7

Job Description:
This position is responsible for guiding the operations and maintenance of the Institute’s core computing and network infrastructure. The officer will ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of ICT systems that support teaching, research, and administration.

5. ICT Officer I – Kenya-AIST Grade 8

This hands-on technical role focuses on the daily operation and maintenance of the Institute’s ICT systems. The officer will provide critical support to end-users, including staff and students in departments and computer labs.

This role is vital for ensuring institutional integrity and financial accountability. The senior auditor will conduct comprehensive audits, assess risks, and evaluate the adequacy of internal controls to safeguard the Institute’s assets and ensure compliance.

Reviewing internal controls and recommending improvements.
