Open Positions
1. Electro-Mechanical Technician (Full-Time – Kericho)
Qualification: Diploma
Experience: 3 Years
Field: Engineering / Technical
Job Purpose:
The Electro-Mechanical Technician ensures efficient, reliable, and safe operation of electromechanical systems that support water production, treatment, and distribution. The role involves installations, maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities:

Install, test, commission, and supervise electromechanical equipment.
-
Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and preventive maintenance of pumps, motors, generators, valves, and control systems.
-
Respond to faults and perform troubleshooting and repairs.
-
Prepare and update SOPs, risk assessments, and emergency response plans.
-
Monitor energy consumption and recommend efficiency improvements.
-
Maintain accurate technical records, reports, and inventories.
-
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Plant Option), Mechatronics, or equivalent.

At least 3 years of hands-on experience in electromechanical systems (preferably in water utilities or industrial plants).

Membership with EBK or IEK is an added advantage.
-
Strong computer skills.
2. Laboratory Technologist (Full-Time – Kericho)
Qualification: Diploma
Experience: 2 Years
Field: Science
Job Purpose:
To support KEWASCO in achieving water quality compliance by conducting sampling, testing, and analysis in accordance with KEBS and WHO standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Collect water samples and conduct field and laboratory tests.
-
Carry out chemical, physical, and bacteriological analysis.
-
Maintain laboratory equipment, reagents, and QA records.
-
Support internal and external quality audits.
-
Ensure adherence to KEBS, WASREB, and NEMA guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Diploma in Laboratory Technology, Analytical Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, or related field.
-
At least 2 years’ experience in a water quality laboratory.
-
Experience in ISO-accredited labs is an added advantage.

Knowledge of KEBS and WHO standards.
Internship Opportunities (1-Year Contract)

Hold a diploma or degree in the relevant field.

Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, integrity, and willingness to learn.
