CIC Microinsurance is inviting qualified, passionate individuals to join its team as Community Outreach Officers. Successful candidates will be deployed to various branches across Kenya, including:
Embu, Eldoret, Kisii, Kakamega, Kisumu, Thika, Nanyuki, Kitale, Religious Markets, and Learning Institutions.
This role is central in expanding CIC Microinsurance’s footprint by driving business growth, engaging communities and institutions, and promoting Microinsurance products in assigned regions and sectors. It involves lead generation, client education, relationship management, and ensuring efficient service delivery in collaboration with internal teams.
The position comes with attractive performance-based incentives and override commissions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting

Identify and onboard new clients and intermediaries, including cooperatives, MFIs, registered groups, and bancassurance partners.

Reactivate dormant accounts and broaden CIC’s outreach channels.
2. Client & Partner Engagement
-
Conduct community sensitization forums, product presentations, and training sessions.

Promote Microinsurance solutions and drive product uptake in assigned markets.
3. Sales Support & Administration

Prepare proposals, quotations, and follow up with leads.

Track sales pipelines and work closely with underwriting and customer service teams for smooth onboarding.
4. Market Intelligence

Collect insights on customer needs, competitor activities, and market trends.

Share feedback to support continuous product innovation and improvement.
5. Target Achievement

Meet individual and team sales targets.

Uphold CIC’s brand values, customer satisfaction, and policy persistency.
Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Diploma in a business-related field.

Bachelor’s degree is an added advantage.

Professional Insurance qualifications (COP, ECOP, AIIK, CII, LOMA) are highly desirable.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.

Experience in community engagement, sales, or field mobilization is an added advantage.

Age: 25 years and above.
