1. Finance Intern
Team: Kenya Country Office Finance Team
Role Purpose: To support the finance team in delivering accurate and timely financial operations, focusing on payment processing and accounting integrity.
Key Responsibilities:

Process invoices and Mpesa payment vouchers.

Prepare General Ledger and Cash Offline Spreadsheets (GLACOS).
-
Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and statutory payroll deductions.
-
Perform account reconciliations and prepare adjustment journals.

Support audit processes and ensure compliance with SCI financial regulations.
Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in Accounting/Finance or a professional accounting qualification.

At least 1 year of experience in accounting (non-profit experience preferred).

2. Programme Development, Quality & Impact (PDQI) Intern
Team: PDQI
Role Purpose: To provide coordination support to the PDQI team, focusing on work planning, information management, research, and supporting advocacy and communications efforts.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain the team’s calendar, travel schedules, and electronic files.

4. Supply Chain Intern
Team: Operations
Role Purpose: To support the Logistics unit with asset and warehouse management and the procurement of goods and services for programs.
Key Responsibilities:

Support warehouse operations: receiving goods, updating stock records, and arranging dispatches.

Assist with fleet data analysis and procurement of fleet-related items.

Help tag new assets and maintain the asset register.

Role Purpose: To work with the audit team to carry out reviews and promote a culture of compliance throughout SC Kenya’s programmes and its partners. This role involves significant travel (up to 50%).

Support external and internal audits, including document retrieval and field visits.

Review award files and documents for donor compliance.

Support training for staff and partners on donor regulations and compliance.

Participate in evaluating risks and ensuring controls are in place to safeguard assets.
Qualifications:

Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance or equivalent.

Professional accounting qualifications (CPA part II or ACCA II).

Familiarity with auditing, grants management, or donor compliance.

Excellent communication, report-writing skills, and willingness to travel to field locations.
