💰 Types of HBKU Scholarships and Financial Support
HBKU provides graduate students with two major types of financial support — Tuition Waivers and Stipends. These are awarded based on merit, academic performance, and financial need.
1. HBKU Tuition Waivers
Tuition waivers are designed to reduce tuition costs for HBKU-sponsored students.
Self-sponsored students can benefit from a discounted rate of 2,000 QAR per credit hour based on need.

2. HBKU Stipends for Graduate Students
Full-time graduate students may also receive monthly stipends to help cover living expenses in Qatar.
These stipends are usually awarded to students working as Research Assistants (RAs) or Teaching Assistants (TAs).

📋 Conditions for Receiving Stipends
- Must be full-time graduate students.
- Cannot work more than 40% of full-time hours outside HBKU.
- Students serve as RAs for 10 hours/week under supervision.
- Maximum working hours: 20 hours/week (RA + TA combined).
- Teaching Assistants (TAs) earn 50 QAR/hour for 10 hours weekly during semesters.
- Students may also earn through the Student Employment Program (SEP) for 10 hours/week.
- Housing costs are covered by the student (in QF dorms or private housing).
- International students receive one round-trip airfare (arrival and graduation).
