A. Department of Medical Services, Public Health & Sanitation
1. Medical Officer (15 Posts)

Description: Diagnose and treat diseases, perform medical/surgical procedures, handle emergencies, and manage health records.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBCh.B), completed internship, and a valid license from the Medical Practitioners Board.
2. Nursing Officer (16 Posts)
-
Description: Provide holistic nursing care, assess patients, plan evidence-based interventions, and maintain a safe care environment.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Midwifery and a valid license from the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
3. Registered Nurse III (110 Posts)
-
Description: Provide healthcare services like immunization and maternity care, assess patients, and offer health education.

Qualifications: Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing, Nursing, or Midwifery. Must be registered with the NCK.
4. Critical Care Nurse (5 Posts)

Description: Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU/HDU, monitor vital signs, and operate life-support equipment.

Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Nursing plus a Higher Diploma in Critical Care Nursing. Must be registered with NCK.
5. Theatre Nurse (5 Posts)

Description: Prepare the operating theatre, assist surgeons during surgery, and provide post-operative care.

Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Nursing plus a Higher Diploma in Perioperative/Theatre Nursing.
6. Specialized Nurses (Neonatology, Nephrology, Cardiology) (14 Posts Total)

Description: Provide advanced care in specialized units for newborns, kidney patients, and heart patients, respectively.

Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Nursing plus a relevant Higher Diploma in the specialty (e.g., Neonatal, Nephrology, Cardiology).
7. Enrolled Nurse III (10 Posts)

Description: The entry-level role for this cadre. Assess patients, provide basic healthcare, and maintain a safe clinical environment.

Qualifications: Certificate in Kenya Enrolled Nurse, Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nurse, or Kenya Enrolled Midwife.
8. Specialized Clinical Officers (Ophthalmology, Psychiatry, Nephrology) (3 Posts Total)

Description: Examine, diagnose, and treat diseases in their respective specialties (eye, mental health, kidney).

Qualifications: Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Surgery plus a relevant Higher Diploma.
9. Registered Clinical Officer III (30 Posts)

Description: Take patient history, diagnose common ailments, order tests, and provide community health services.

Qualifications: Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Surgery and a valid license from the Clinical Officers Council.
10. Dentist (2 Posts)

Description: Provide dental care, perform minor oral surgery, and manage dental health information.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Dental Surgery (DS), completed internship, and registered with the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
11. Pharmacist (2 Posts) & Pharmaceutical Technologist III (15 Posts)

Description: (Pharmacist) Screen and dispense prescriptions, counsel patients. (Technologist) Dispense drugs under supervision and maintain drug registers.

Qualifications: (Pharmacist) Bachelor of Pharmacy degree. (Technologist) Diploma in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Technology.
12. Medical Laboratory Officer (5 Posts) & Technologist III (25 Posts)

Description: Perform and oversee laboratory tests, maintain equipment, and ensure quality assurance.

Qualifications: (Officer) BSc in Medical Laboratory Science. (Technologist) Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences. Both must be registered with KMLTTB.
13. Other Key Technical Roles

Bio-Medical Engineers & Technologists: Install and maintain medical equipment.

Radiographer III: Provide medical imaging services.
-
Physiotherapist III: Provide physiotherapy services to in/out-patients.
-
Nutritionist & Dietetics Technician III: Provide nutrition services and education.

Mortician: Manage mortuary operations and prepare bodies.
-
Theatre Technologist: Prepare and maintain the operating theatre and instruments.

Community Health Officers & Assistants: Implement community health programs and outreach.
B. Department of Education, Technical Training, Innovation & Social Sciences
1. Assistant ECDE Teacher II (50 Posts)

Description: Implement ECDE programs, conduct class teaching, prepare lesson plans, and mobilize the community.

Qualifications: Diploma in ECDE, TSC registration, and at least 3 years of experience.
2. Assistant ECDE Teacher III (150 Posts)
-
Description: Duties are similar to ECDE Teacher II, focusing on class teaching and learner development.

Qualifications: Certificate in ECDE, TSC registration, and at least 3 years of experience.
