🧩 Project Description
Successful candidates will help develop a smartphone-based human movement analysis system using machine learning and computer vision.
The project aims to create a validated, user-friendly tool for assessing motion in both research and clinical settings. You will gain hands-on experience with biomechanics experiments, data analysis, and AI integration.
🎓 Research Assistantship Qualifications
Applicants should have:
A BSc/MSc/PhD in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Kinesiology, or related field
Practical experience with motion capture systems (marker-based and RGB systems)
(Asset) Prior experience in human-participant data collection
📍 This is an in-person position with an immediate start date. Canadian applicants are preferred.
🎓 Graduate Studentship (PhD/MSc) Qualifications
A BSc/MSc in Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Proven experience with AI-based methods for human pose estimation
Strong Python programming skills and familiarity with MATLAB
(Asset) Experience with motion capture systems (marker-based/RGB/RGB-depth)
(Asset) Prior experience with human-participant studies
