🎓 Tuition Fees at the University of Copenhagen
Who Must Pay Tuition?
Students from outside the EU/EEA or non-Nordic countries must pay tuition fees. However, exemptions are available for those with specific residency statuses in Denmark or the Nordic region.
How Much is Tuition?

Tuition fees range from EUR 10,000 to 17,000 per year (60 ECTS).

✅ Who Is Exempt from Paying Tuition?
You are exempt from tuition fees if you:

Hold permanent residence in Denmark, Greenland, or Faroe Islands

Have a temporary residence permit “with a view to permanent residence”

Hold Nordic citizenship and live in your home country during studies

Are an EU citizen or have equal rights under EU law

Are granted residence under sections 7, 8, 9, 9A, 9B, 9C, 9M of the Danish Aliens Act

Are covered under special acts such as for Ukrainian refugees or those who assisted Danish authorities in Afghanistan

Hold dual citizenship (EU/EEA + non-EU/EEA) and enter Denmark as an EU/EEA citizen

🔁 Tuition Fee Refund Policy
You are eligible for a full refund if you:

💳 Refunds are made only to the original payer (e.g., parent, sponsor), not the student.
