1. Principal Livestock Policy Research and Regulations Officer
Job Description:Â A senior role focused on shaping Kenya’s livestock sector through policy formulation, research, and regulatory oversight.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead the development and review of livestock policies and regulatory frameworks.

Conduct high-level research on climate change impacts and disease control.

Represent the Ministry in regional and international policy forums.

Qualifications and Requirements:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Agricultural Economics, Law, or a related social science.

Several years of experience in policy analysis, development, or research within the agricultural sector.

2. Principal Assistant Leather Development Officer
Job Description:Â Drive growth and competitiveness in Kenya’s leather industry through program implementation and capacity building.

Formulate and implement leather development policies and programs.

Support capacity-building for tanneries and producers on quality standards.

Promote partnerships to advance sector growth and market linkages.

3. Laboratory Technician III
Job Description:Â Provide critical diagnostic and analytical support for animal health, disease surveillance, and research.

Conduct routine laboratory tests on animal samples (blood, tissue).

Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Support disease surveillance and outbreak investigations.

4. Animal Health Assistant II
