1. Principal Livestock Policy Research and Regulations Officer

Job Description: A senior role focused on shaping Kenya’s livestock sector through policy formulation, research, and regulatory oversight.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and review of livestock policies and regulatory frameworks.
- Conduct high-level research on climate change impacts and disease control.
- Represent the Ministry in regional and international policy forums.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Agricultural Economics, Law, or a related social science.
- Several years of experience in policy analysis, development, or research within the agricultural sector.
- Proficiency in research methodologies and stakeholder engagement.

2. Principal Assistant Leather Development Officer

Job Description: Drive growth and competitiveness in Kenya’s leather industry through program implementation and capacity building.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement leather development policies and programs.
- Support capacity-building for tanneries and producers on quality standards.
- Promote partnerships to advance sector growth and market linkages.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A Diploma or higher in Leather Technology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the leather industry, tanning, or value addition.
- Knowledge of quality control standards and industrial processes.

3. Laboratory Technician III

Job Description: Provide critical diagnostic and analytical support for animal health, disease surveillance, and research.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine laboratory tests on animal samples (blood, tissue).
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Support disease surveillance and outbreak investigations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A Diploma in Laboratory Technology, Applied Biology, or Biomedical Science.
- Must be registered with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).
- Practical experience in a diagnostic or research laboratory is an advantage.

4. Animal Health Assistant II

Job Description: A field-based role crucial for disease prevention, treatment, and extension services to livestock farmers.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and control of livestock diseases.
- Carry out vaccination campaigns and deworming programs.
- Provide extension services to farmers on livestock health and husbandry.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A Certificate or Diploma in Animal Health, Veterinary Medicine, or a related field.
- Must be registered with the Kenya Veterinary Board.
- Strong fieldwork skills and ability to interact with farming communities.

5. Livestock Production Assistant II

Job Description: Support livestock producers in enhancing productivity and sustainability through extension services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
