1,000 Internship Vacancies in the State Department for Basic Education – Digital Literacy Programme
The Ministry of Education, through the State Department for Basic Education, is offering an exciting opportunity for recent graduates! A total of 1,000 internship positions are open under the Digital Literacy Programme (DLP) Cohort 4. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience and contribute meaningfully to the integration of digital technologies in primary education across Kenya.
✅ Requirements for Appointment
To qualify, candidates must:

Have graduated not earlier than 2020.

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education (ICT specialization), a Bachelor’s degree in ICT, or a Diploma in ICT or ICT Integration in Education from a recognized institution.

Be knowledgeable in networking, infrastructure, applications development, information security, and project management.

Be able to integrate ICT with Education, especially in E-learning and content development.
-
Be ready to conduct research and innovation in support of digital learning.

Be available full-time and willing to be deployed to a Sub County Education Office.
💼 Internship Duties and Responsibilities
Interns will support digital learning in schools through the following:

Supporting E-learning and content aligned with curriculum schemes.

Assisting teachers in using digital literacy devices.
-
Helping with the implementation of the Digital Literacy Programme.

Introducing innovations to improve digital learning.
-
Promoting safe and secure use of ICT.

Supporting ICT integration in assessment and teaching.
-
Contributing to school ICT policies and procedures.

Maintaining ICT systems in schools.

Interns will be posted to Sub County Education Offices and serve on a full-time basis.
